LAHORE: Lahore’s power crisis has worsened, with loadshedding lasting up to ten hours in Punjab’s provincial capital due to an 800 megawatt electricity shortage (MW).
According to data, the Lahore Electric Supply Corporation (LESCO) is facing a demand of 5000 MW against a supply of 4200 MW. Long periods of loadshedding have resulted from the 800 MW shortfall.
According to reports, load shedding in rural Punjab lasted up to 10 hours.
