LAHORE (Lahore News) Junaid Safdar, the son of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz and grandson of former prime minister Nawaz Sharif, married Shanzeh Ali Rohail in Lahore.

The Islamic Ideology Council Chairman, Mufti Raghib Naeemi, led the Nikah ceremony, and the dower (Mahr) was fixed at Rs. 125,000.

Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, former prime minister and PML-N President Nawaz Sharif, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Mian Amer Mahmood, Chaudhry Munir, and Ishaq Dar were among the notable political personalities present at the wedding ceremonies in Lahore.

Other guests included Hamza Shehbaz, Salman Shehbaz, Hussain Nawaz, Hassan Nawaz, Captain (r) Safdar, Rana Sanaullah, Maryam Aurangzeb, and Azma Bukhari. International guests were also present.

Shanzeh Ali Rohail, Janid Safdar’s bride, is the granddaughter of well-known political figure Sheikh Rohail Asghar. The groom’s procession (Baraat) reached a private housing society in Lahore, with his vehicle adorned with rose petals.

The Mehndi ceremony was held the previous night at Jati Umra, attended by close family and relatives. Security measures were strictly enforced throughout the three-day festivities to ensure a smooth and safe celebration.
