Given the security risks, Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah authorised providing protection to Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz Vice President Maryam Nawaz on Wednesday.
On the suggestion of the Interior Ministry’s Threat Assessment Committee, the PMLN Vice President has been assigned VIP security.
According to the documents, rangers would be in charge of Maryam Nawaz’s protection in addition to the police. Maryam Nawaz will be protected by federal police and rangers while in Islamabad.
In addition, police security in other provinces and districts will be given. At Maryam Nawaz’s homes, security will be given as well.
