LAHORE (Lahore News) – A sudden fire broke out in the basement of a small hotel in Lahore’s Gulberg region, killing three people, wounding five, and requiring the evacuation of 180 others.

A representative for Rescue 1122 verified that the remains of Imran, Shehryar, and Riaz had been found from the hotel.

Shehryar was 23 years old, while Imran and Riaz were both 30. The injured were sent to the hospital for treatment.

Rescue 1122 reported that prompt action was taken following the call. The search and rescue effort involved 21 emergency vehicles and 80 workers, including cops. The operation concentrated on the lower floors, with lower 1 being most impacted. The hotel is a 19-story structure that spans four kanals and has three basement floors.

Punjab Chief Secretary Zahid Akhtar Zaman said that the fire was contained to the basement and that 180 persons were safely evacuated. Nobody stays inside the building.

The injured staff member, Mobeen, has been taken to Jinnah Hospital’s Burn Unit. According to hospital officials, he had burns that covered 44 percent of his body and is still in severe condition. Chief Secretary Zaman paid a visit to the patient at the hospital.

Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz praised Rescue 1122’s quick response, stressing that all trapped persons had been safely rescued. She instructed that rescue crews remain at the scene until all individuals were safely evacuated. Provincial ministers, the Chief Secretary, and the Director General of the LDA were all there to monitor activities.
