Dr. Moeed Yusuf, Pakistan’s National Security Adviser, stated on Thursday that Pakistan and China play a critical cooperation role in the stabilisation of Afghanistan.
Prime Minister Imran Khan stated in a video message that his travel to China would be highly significant since the two nations’ top leaders will meet to discuss crucial issues.
According to Dr. Moeed Yusuf, it is important for Pakistan to stabilise Afghanistan following the US leave.
He stated that China wants the CPEC to be extended to Afghanistan, and Pakistan supports this. He said that he had recently visited Afghanistan, and that the Afghan interim administration was enthusiastic about it.
The Afghan problem will be covered during the Prime Minister’s travel to China, according to the National Security Adviser. He stated that Pakistan and China will work together to guarantee that Afghanistan does not become a hub for terrorism, but rather a hub for trade.
Meanwhile, Asad Umar, Pakistan’s Minister for Planning and Development, expressed optimism that Chinese investment in Pakistan will grow as a result of Prime Minister Imran Khan’s visit to China.
He said that a comprehensive paper had been drafted following lengthy discussions, emphasising how Pakistan is a desirable investment location for Chinese companies. He said that the paper also considers our economic strengths as well as the facilities and incentives available to investors.
Prime Minister Imran Khan will give this document to the Chinese leadership, according to Asad Umar.
The Minister for Planning and Development described China’s visit as “extremely important,” adding that it is also “a reflection of the eternal Pakistan-China connection.”
